Race cars

As some of you may know already, and for those of you who do not know yet, when I am not at the track driving race cars, I am in the shop building them. I have a small fabrication shop where i build very high quality, one-off race cars. I do not have an “off the shelf” model, or models, although it is something I may consider in the future, maybe with a basic nostalgia dragster chassis, or maybe a junior dragster chassis. It has been my experience though that every client wants something slightly different.
I am currently building a very cool street legal car, very loosely based on a fox bodied McClaren. the body has been developed overr the last ten years by the owner. The body is all carbon fibre kevlar, and only weighs 85 pounds, doors, hood, and all. It is powered by an 650hp aluminum Fontana motor. Add the 150 shot of nitrous and it has 800hp, on pump gas. The plan is that this car will run 8.90’s in street trim. I will keep you updated on this one.
If any of you are looking for advice or help with your drag race setup, from choosing a chassis design, setting up your suspension, choosing a whole combination, or help with tuning your combination, feel free to drop me a note any time, through the contacts page, or start a forum discussion, I am sure there are plenty of people out there reading this site who can also offer up some opinions.

Hey Jim…..Super looking project. Looking forward to the end results.
