My new blog
July 31, 2009
So now I have a blog.
It will take me some time to get used to using it, how it all works, and all the neat things I can do with it. So bear with me while I go through this learning curve. At this point I intend to share my racing activities with you of course, but I also have some great ideas for some other articles that I know you will enjoy reading about. From health and fitness, healthy mind and body, motivation, and some of the training techniques I use and why, to some technical articles on what is involved in building, preparing, and maintaining the cars I drive. Of course if there is anything you want to hear about, please, just let me know. The more feedback I get the better I can make this site, and blog, for you.
Thank you. Very sincerely, thank you all.
It is indeed a monster.
July 31, 2009

526 cubic inches of monster.
We attempted two test passes today, , both overpowered our tires right at the start. Being a test day the track prep is never as good as a race day, so we are hoping for better track conditions tomorrow, and we are going to make a few small changes to see if we can get the car down the track on these small tires with all this horsepower.
The engine feels very strong, Steve Brandt, our crew-chief, has done a fantastic job preparing the motor. It is very crisp and responsive even with a mild setup in it. The engine is much taller than the previous motor, so start line line-up is a little different.
We got some great photos today too. We will have a photo gallery up and running very soon.
It Looks Like a Monster!

I just got off the phone with my Crew Chief, Steve Brandt, he tells me the new motor is even taller than the last one. His words: “It looks like a monster” I can hardly wait!
