Progress report
November 20, 2010
Over the coming months watch for this site to be updated, it might not change too much visually for now, but much of the content will be freshened up. Many of the pages were written 18 month ago, and some of the info is a little out of date. But I am still here, and I am still on course.
The objective to race Top Fuel Funny Car in the NHRA full throttle series, to compete for a world championship, or several, has not changed. In fact that objective has become much more clearly identified.
I have been working with some fantastic people over the last few months putting together a management and marketing team to take this program to the next level. We are developing systems and putting them in place to ensure this program is a long term success. This is a very exciting time.
If you are on Twitter, you can follow me: @jimobalek, you can also connect with me on Linked In: http://www.linkedin.com, and of course there is Facebook too!
My racing schedule for next season will be finalized in January, and it is looking like a very busy season. More news soon.
Thank you all for your continued support.

Blenz Make a Wish
November 16, 2010
I had a great time at the Blenz Make a Wish Christmas party last night. Go to: http://blenzcommunity.com/ and make a donation to this great cause.
Ted Couling was there doing great caricatures. . . is that really what I look like? I particularly like the number 1 on the side of my car.
Also met some other great people there too: Doris Jung of AutoMind Group, and George Moen Jr, from Imagewear, who will be taking care of my logo needs on my uniforms and caps and such.
Donna from http://www.clickandclown.ca/ was there with her camera, she will be blogging on the party on her site so check over there for more photos and info.
And remember, go to http://blenzcommunity.com/ and donate to the Make a Wish foundation.
Motivation
November 11, 2010
I am motivated. I am motivated to be the best I can possibly be. A constant work in progress. I am always looking for anything that makes me better at what I do. Just like life, there are times when it is hard to keep pushing, and there are times when it all seems to flow easily. Stay healthy, eat well and exercise, and lots of rest. key ingredients for anything you want to do. Whatever it is you do, playing golf, swimming, painting, whatever, doing it better than the last time you did it always results in an increase in pleasure. I am always inspired by anyone who does anything proficiently. This video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z19zFlPah-o is an example of someone who has worked very hard at being the best he can possibly be. Watching this video is sure to motivate you, as it does me, to work just that little bit harder at being your best.
